Akkermans

Carrosserie Akkermans was founded 1811 and is located in Oud Gastel, The Netherlands. It is Holland's oldest coachbuilding company still in existence. The company used to have an important role in the Dutch agricultural mechanisation and later they started to manufacture automobile coachworks. In the fifties, Akkermans designed and built some specials based on the Volkswagen Beetle and DKW.

Nowadays the company focusses on coachwork manufacturing for utility vehicles for various companies, the army, television companies, the police and ambulances.
