Antem

Carrossier Antem in Courbevoie was one of the leading French coachbuilders between the wars. Jean Antem was born in 1893 in Barcelona, Spain. After an apprenticeship at Van den Plas (we assume this was the French company "Willy van den Plas"), he started his own coachbuilding company in 1919 in Levallois, France.

Besides some one-off creations on several luxury chassis, before WWI, he mainly made a living out of the production of small series for Ariès and Licorne. After WWI, he mainly focussed on the creation of bodies on the chassis of Delahaye. Antem stopped producing coachworks for the automobile Industry in 1955.
