Petit Bugatti

Post by franck.kegelart »

This Type 57 has been rebodied in the 50s by a man called Petit. Note Peugeot 403's rear lights.

Franck, do you have any more info? Chassis number maybe?
And what about this guy 'Petit'? Did he build more cars?

Hi Michiel, the chassis number is 57418 ; unfortunately this body doesn't exist anymore ; the car has been rebodied in 30s style.

I just came across the name Petit in relation to Salmson. It said that Petit was designer for Salmson and that he had built a competition version of the very first Salmson model with which André Lombard won the 1921 Cyclecar Grand Prix of Le Mans. Could this be the same Petit?
