I designed and built this body last year on a long wheelbase chassis. The hood has been extended 24" and the body from the cowl back and the rear fenders and skirts are all new. It was built in 18 gauge steel.

This car was a 34 Packard 1104 Club Sedan originally and was converted to a pick-up in the late 50's to be used on a farm in VA.

I have been in the restoration business for over 40 years, specializing in Coachbuilt and one off cars of the 20's and 30's. This truck started out as 34 Club Sedan and was converted to a pick-up in the late 50's for the farm. The owner commissioned me to design and build a Boattail body and this is what I came up with. It is built on a long wheelbase chassis so I could get the lines to flow smoother than with a short wheelbase chassis. Several parts such as bumpers, brackets, hinges, top irons, windshield and small hardware had to be fabricated. The seat is out of the sedan and was cut 6" lower along with the cowl being widened 6". The hood also was widened 6" and extended 24".

Wow, you've got some serious skills! Done the way they were done 80 years ago, too! I am contemplating doing this to a 1/20 scale Hubley diecast model, and I can't imagine the effort and skill it would take in full size, very impressive, and great styling too!
