I know that many people view a lot of the Bill Mitchell-inspired cars with distaste, and many others love them (and quite possibly 1950s Science Fiction films). Personally, Larry Shinoda's Mako Shark II developed in the Mitchell years is one of my favourite designs of all time, but it always amuses me that Mitchell is quoted as saying that he did not like "Modern Art", particularly citing Picasso. That would be the Picasso that was perpetrating this "modern" art thirty years before Mr Mitchell ever set foot in a GM design studio...
