This Renault was not going to win prizes in any concours d'elegance, nor was it meant to: ordered by Le Maréchal Pétain of Vichy France in 1942 and adopted after the war by the Presidents de la Republic Vincent Auriol and René Coty and one should be seen in it, but no stepping boards since the 1934 assasination in a presidential carriage (of King Alexander I of Yugoslavia and French foreign minster Louis Barthou in Marseilles).
