Brichet Rolls-Royce

Post by Boybentley »

#GMJ26, according to Fasal's book on the Rolls Royce 20, it was originally a Weymann saloon by Brichet, delivered to E. Lindenmeyer / CH

I am told by the English RR expert Tom Clarke that the lower car in this ad. is a pre-193 RR Silver Ghost. A photo of the car appears in the recent book on Swiss coachbuilders (page 34). We do not know what the chassis number is.

If this is the first body on the chassis it is probably chassis 119WR, which was described as a tourer in the RR records. Rebodied in 1932 as a Windovers sedanca de ville.

Does the sdv survive? BTW - there was an XJ chassis PII also by Brichet that had multiple bodies later on, currently a tourer in Germany. Do you recall the CN?
