No. Visit the Cadillac Database for the best telling of the story.

The "big story" of the Hartmann Cadillac seems to be known widely. Obviously Hartmann did copy several designs from other well-known coachbuilders of his time, mostly less elegant and refined than the original designs (see the Ford V8 with the "Ventoux-style" body). The "Cadillac-Figoni" badge is pure nonsense, of course... During the 1930s it was absolutely common to copy designs, compare the Delahaye 135 by Figoni and the "siamese twin" Bugatti T57 by vanVooren. Probably Figoni never noticed that his design was copied (two times bigger!) by Hartmann for a Cadillac. So Hartmann seems to had been a kind of "Wannabe". As the world was bigger at that time, it seems likely that some Swiss customers had not the opportunity to ship their cars to Figoni, Pourtout & Co. and had them bodied more easily near their living place. That the current owners of the Cadillac V16 try to turn the car into a "real" Figoni spoils the work of Hartmann, nevertheless. Although Hartmann was not a real "artist", he made a really interesting interpretation with its own highlights, which are meanwhile deleted. So today the car is a "wannabe"-Figoni of a former "wannabe"-Figoni...
