Recently two cars designed by Paulin and built by Pourtout have been recovered: one is currently being restored and the other will be in the coming years.
Therefore we want to do an article about Paulin and Pourtout as an introduction to the history and restoration stories of these two cars.

Please post all you can find or already know about Georges Paulin.

At the age of 23 Paulin already filed a patent for a Transformable...

Paulin was commissioned to design the Corniche Bentley and had a contract with RR, prior to WW11.

The Corniche whilst on test in France had an accident and eventually was destroyed. The RR Heritage trust is currently recreating a copy of this car which is based as the original on The MKV with various modifications to increase power and reduce weight due to the heavy body design.

The original engine from the Corniche , was mounted on a plinth as a display engine for the 1939 motorshow that was cancelled because of the outbreak of war. I own the engine and it is going on loan to the RREC museum as is the original MKV mascot designed by Paulin. I have had three mascots replicated by the worldwide authority on Charles Sykes . Two are for my cars and one for another MK V owner.
