Ferrari 365 GTB 'Daytona' by Colani. As a Ferrari-lover, I have only one thing to say: TERRIBLE. I don't know if this car still exists, but if it does, I sure hope it has been restored without these Colani modifications!! Really, when I first saw this picture, I felt sick, slowly became very angry and barely managed to keep myself out of a serious depression...

If the Ferrari made you depressed, what happens if you look at this monstrosity?
Well... I was about to say many things, but I'd like to keep this forum friendly and happy. I'd like to return the question. What happens to YOU if you look at it?

Another interesting device, this life-size model of a two-part hybrid car. The engine and cam shaft are taken from a Lamborghini Miura (!!), the separate passenger cabin is designed like the cockpit of a glider. Built in 1970.

I think he has a big hubris. There are not many of the design scene who take him seriousely. Frequently he used to promote his 'visionary' design concepts in German talk shows. A real pain in the a..!

I find Luigi Colani one of the most fascinating and versatile industrial designers in our time , he really thinks outside the box, literally...
his vehicle designs has been matter of discussion for ages but whatever they look, put them in a wind tunnel and find out that he has been light years ahead in aerodynamics, and that with remodelling his designs throughout testing, he gets there on the first pencil draw.
