#1855E was ordered in 1911 by H. F. Scarfe with two bodies, Landaulette & Tourer, by an unknown coachbuilder. The picture shows the Tourer after it was modernised in 1919.

Is this maybe #1737 1911 Silver Ghost rebodied Barker Three-Quarter Cabriolet (ex Rothschild Landaulette)?

The owners of #1737 Rothschild Landaulette were R. D. Dusgate, nr. Kings Lynn, in 1919 Miss Dora Schintz, Liverpool and in 1928 Stanley Tanner, Chobham.

Hello, I am new to this forum and I would like to know more about the coachwork in this 40/50 Silver Ghost. It is the 1962 Pebble Beach Best of Show award winner, then owned by the original concours chairman Alton H. Walker. According to the little information I have on the car, it was originally owned by the 10th Lord Carbery of Ireland and he ordered Cann of Camden to build the coachwork. Carbery moved to New York in 1916 taking the Rolls with him. He sold the car to a New York millionare and eventually ended up in Walker's stewardship around 1956. He entered this car in the 1962 Pebble Beach Concours and by that time, it had this body. I think it resembles a Portholme body on the London to Edinburgh chassis but the way the doors are hinged is different. I haven't seen this car in recent photographs with this body, and the chassis number is the same as a Cann bodied tourer currently owned by Samuel Mann?. If anyone can help me with some information on the builder and fate of this body, I will greatly appreciate it.
Chassis No. 2484
Engine No. 96F
