1957 and we're behind the Iron Curtain. Small roadster. What could it be - perhaps a Bantam with a modified rear end, or something actually coachbuilt?

A quick research revealed one period photo of it for sale:

Apparently it seems that it was two-tone back then.
However, many questions are still open, including ones of who actually designed and built it.
Quite unusually for such a high profile car...
