 Post subject: Van & Fitz Pontiac ads from Sixties: Are people small?

I was doing a story on Van and Fitz who used to illustrate Pontiac ads from the early '60s for a few years.It seems to be that the people are about 7/8ths size to make the cars look longer, lower and wider. Then as you get up to their '70 1/2 Pontiac TransAm suddenly the car looks correctly proportioned as do any people. Did anybody else notice this?
