These are all vehicles based on type 439 chassis.
The first Aprilias are one-off cars, then the Bilux sedan first and second model, wich inspired the Aurelia sedan B10. The last cabriolets are 1946 model, winner at Turin elegance concours, and 1949 the last, a luxury model.

A review of Aprilia cabriolets, I serie with the 1350cc engine and type 239 chassis.
A 1937 one-off car with the aerodynamic front called "bow ship" (a prua di nave).
A 1938 standard model with the tipical two lights and bigger grill.
A 1939 luxury model (gran lusso), with 4 lights, luxury interior and the wheel covers by Fergat.
A wonderful 1939 one-off special model, custom made on customer request like a tailored suit: longer body, angular grill, engine powered by a Nardi carburettor , aluminium steering wheel and special wheel cover custom made by Fergat .This car is in Turin, actually.

A beautiful example of the 1939 Aprilia special series tipo Miglietti, based on the type 439 chassis.
Vincenzo Miglietti, manager of the Lancia-branch in Turin, was the older brother of Mrs. Adele Miglietti, the Vincenzo Lancia's wife. He ordered a little series of 6 cars to Pininfarina, especially for his high-class customers. Every cars was different in the details. Battista Farina had some problems to complete this series because the aluminium was very rare in Italy, after the UN declared the embargo in 1936.
The Aprilia spyder was exhibited in Sanremo elegance Concours in the summer 1939.

The first car, 1938 Elegance concours of Turin winner , it's a Mylord cabriolet 2 seats with a 2-way retractable roof.

The second car, 1938 elegance concours of San Remo winner, is the first of a small lusso series 4 seats ordered by Ernesto Bocca, main Lancia dealer in Biella. The back seat and the hood completely disappear under a lid.

The third car was part of a 1938 small production with narrow grill and aerodinamic fenders, a similar shape was also adopted on the Fiat 6C 1500 chassis.

The fourth car is the 1938 prototype for a short series similar to the Astura Bocca series, but without luxury details. A similar shape was also adopted on the Fiat 6C 1500 chassis.

The fifth car is the one-off model exhibited at the 1939 Brussels motor Show.

No problem Jiri, i like to see these old photos.
The cars n°4 and 5 are I series, based on the 239 chassis., the others are II series based on the 439 chassis.

1- a four seats 1939 lusso with narrow front and collapsible windscreen. A similar shape was also adopted on the Fiat 6C 1500 and the Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 chassis.

2-a four seats 1939 one-off model, similar to the n°4, with retractable headlights, collapsible windscreen, but without chromes.

3-a 2 seats 1939 spyder "tipo Miglietti" series, 1939 Elegance concours of San Remo winner. This is the first of 6 different specimens, with chromes and without footboards. Miglietti, older brother of Adele Miglietti, Vincenzo Lancia's widow, was the director of the Lancia-branch in Turin. He ordered to Pininfarina a small series of this spyder for his high-class customers. Only 2 survived.

4-a four seats 1938 one-off model with retractable headlights, collapsible windscreen and luxury details, built expressly for the Marquis Ghiara Medici del Vascello of Genova.

5- a four seats 1938 standard with the radiator hided under the grill, the first of a series.

6- a 4 seats 1940 cabriolet, first of a small luxury series ordered by Lombardi&Koelliker, Lancia dealer in Milan.

7- a 2 seats 1940 spyder, one-off model, with collapsible windscreen. The hood disappeared under a lid completely. A similar shape was also adopted on a Fiat 6C 1500 chassis.

8- a 4 seats 1940 cabriolet, first of a small lusso series with the "Astura like" front.

Mario Revelli de Beaumont designed the front of the cars n°6, 7 and 8.
