I have withdrawn my previous posting text regarding "1949 Oldsmobile restyled by Spohn." A magazine article that was the source of the photos has been located providing facts. I was wrong about this car on two counts. First it was a 1950 Oldsmobile. Second, the car was not coachbuilt by Spohn but rather truly was a Spohn customized car in the accepted US sense of the word meaning that the factory US sheet metal roof had been "chopped" and also the car's factory body had been "sectioned". Lowering of the car was further accomplished by suspension spring changes.

While this particular '50 Oldsmobile does illustrate Spohn Carosserie's versatility to meet customer desires, it is not in fact an example of their coachbuilding.

Another Spohn Oldsmobile with new coachwork. This customer appears to have requested the look of the Packard 200 /300 models
