A Latvian web site offers the leasing of a 1940 Maybach SW 38 for movies, weddings, affairs.

The site offers this text (Google translation):
HISTORY MODELS MAYBACH SW 42
MODEL MAYBACH SW 42 is only released during the war years from 1939 to 1941. Martial law, an individual in Germany could acquire new CARS. Customers of this model was the Chancellery Third Reich. ORDERED FROM CAR 133, managed to produce, (according to the German AUTOMOTIVE ENCYCLOPEDIA) only 45 copies. Specifically for this order, uprated engines were at low revs, their amount was increased from 3.8 to 4.2 L. liter. FORSAZh LET armored body, weight machines, with revenue up to 5.5 tons. . Maybach SW 42 was only official car. AMONG the name, riding on MAYBACH SW 42, could be called the Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring, Propaganda Minister Dr. Joseph Goebbels Armenia, Foreign Minister von Ribbentrop IOAHIMMA, Chief of General Staff Marshal von Blomberg, and of course, the Almighty Reichsleiter, Parteigenosse-Martin Bormann , the second person in the state. In the famous film, "17 Moments of Spring" MEET THE LEGENDARY SHTIRLITSA and Bormann occurs in MAYBACH SW 42.

One of the cars - MAYBACH SW 42 4-door SPORT CONVERTIBLE was manufactured in body ATELIER HERMANN SPOHN in Ravensburg on the personal sketch of Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun were intended for. It was her favorite car. When restoring BODY MAYBACH SW 42 AVE MARIA ARCHIVE THESE WERE USED DRAWINGS.

Is the web site accurate? Was this Eva Braun's car?

It is obvious numerous liberties have been taken in painting and equiping the car for rental use including painting on wide body side trim, headlamp size options to suit the lessor, various tail lamps, and I presume the bumpers were fashioned as well as the wheel covers and rear spare cover.

I have lifted several photos from http://www.maybach.lv

I have started with the wrong button. Post above and this addition should be in the ongoing Spohn Maybach forum. My apologies. Can it be moved?

Same car: clean rear view.

Thank you for the correction. It was credited to Spohn where I found the photos. This is why we have this community!
