A few more pics of the Ibn Saud Cadillac. Jacques Saoutchik showed the lady the refrigerated bar with cocktail shakers and 50 dollar glasses.

The complete and CORRECT story of this car may be found in the "Cadillac Database"

Saoutchik Cadillac V16, design for a faux cabriolet, and pic of a victoria for M. Patenotre

I believe the colored sketch shows a Saoutchik design for a later Cadillac Victoria on the V12 chassis for 1931. Note the trunk shape and the multiple vertical striations on the body sill.

The B&W "period pic" is actually from the mid-60s, after the unrestored car was found in a Paris garage in 1964. The color photo was taken many years later, after the car was "over" restored by the new, American owner.

1953 Cadillac by Saoutchik for King of Saudi Arabia.

Saoutchik is believed to have built SEVEN of these grandiose parade convertibles for the Saudi Royal household. This one is thought to be the 2nd. More on these cars may be found in my "Cadillac Database", here:

https://www.newcadillacdatabase.org/sta ... m52-53.htm

Here is a different Saudi parade car, again on the 1953 stretched Cadillac chassis (I am still looking for photos of the other 4 missing cars):

Saoutchik Cadillac V16 Cabriolet, 1931

This is actually a Cadillac V12 convertible Victoria by Soutchik. It is based on the drawings shown below. This car was shown by Ms. Jacqueline Francelle at the Bagatelle and La Cascade [Bois de Boulogne] concours d'élégance on 9 and 24 June, 1932.

The second Cadillac Series 62 by Saoutchik, chassis #486237307. The body was identical to the first one, but the colour scheme was reversed. It was sold in Paris to Louis Ritter who shipped it to New York.

This is one of two almost identical Cadillac convertible Victorias designed and built for the US market by France's Jacques Saoutchik on two 1948 Cadillac chassis.

VIN #4862-34577) initially was white (upper) and pale lilac (lower), with faux canework on the doors and ¼ panels, shown at Paris' Grand Palais: it features a Cadillac-style grille crest bearing the initials "PK" [for Paul Kassof]

VIN #4862-37307 was purchased first by Louis Ritter, founder of Ritter Furriers, NY
