I'm a bit off topic here.
Anyway, the other day i sent to Robgeelen this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia: ... r_archives

I can see that he's doing a very good job with it. I decided to share it with other members though so that his task would not be too huge.
So if some people are interesting in digging in tons and tons of period magazines and newspapers, there will be a lot to find out. Especially on:
gallica.bnf.fr
http://anno.onb.ac.at/anno.htm (check Allgemeine Automobil-Zeitung for piles of Mercedes (and SS ones), Austro-Daimler, Graf und Stift...)
http://hemeroteca.abc.es/nav/Navigate.exe/hemeroteca/
I'm still looking for good german newspapers/magazines.

What would be nice as well is the insertion of the link to pictures in posts.

Whether you'll put pics on this forum or not, enjoy the links!

NicoB

Thank you so much for sharing those links: I think it is so important to be able to see the original source. I have already found things of interest and use in just a few minutes.

Tonight I shall open a better bottle of wine and drink to you Nico B!

Clive.

You're welcome Clive.

"it is so important to be able to see the original source" I definitely second this.

I hope last night wine was good. French wine? Only joking.

Of course, French wine: for me it is still the best for its subtlety and nobility. Tonight a Gigondas - perhaps the Saoutchik of wine!

Clive.

One of the best sources for online magazines and pictures is http://gallica.bnf.fr/. Most of the sources are in french, but material in other languages is also available. Most of the interesting periodicals date from abou 1900 to about 1938.

Just found yesterday. Enjoy! The quality isn't good, search doesn't work properly. But if check every magazine by changing number of issue and month you will find the treasures!
