This Springfield Ghost model, Chassis number 181KL still has its original four door saloon McNear coachwork being finished in black with nickel fittings and red fine lines. The interior is trimmed grey wool cloth, black leather door casings, grey carpets to the rear and rubber matting to the front. The rear windows have silk roller blinds.

The McNear coachwork is constructed to an extremely high standard. The McNear family business constructed horse drawn carriages through to early powered vehicles. The records show that they produced ten bodies fitted to Silver Ghosts between 1923 and 1925. Eight being coupe and two sedans. The whereabouts of the other sedan is unknown.
