According some sources, this Alfa began its life as a 6C 1750, later converted to 6C 2500 ; I don't know if they have put a 2500 engine in a 6C 1750, or if this body was removed from a 1750 to a 2500...

Does anyone have any information about this car? It was listed as a "spyder recreation" by Bonhams but their description also makes it seems like it was built by De Mola. They do at least claim them built a number of similar cars. Now I do in general not trust the discription made by these auction houses, so does anyone know the story here?
