I'm lazy to translate, right now. I'll do... =)

"ESPACE JOSEPH BESSET :

Found on the web I can't remember when or where

Here is a translation, with the last part expanded by me - a bit off-topic, but quite interesting :)

Espace Joseph Besset: In 1905 in Vanosc, his native village, Joseph Besset became an apprentice in a cartwright workshop of father Landy. In the 20s, he made superb bodies on chassis from fashionable manufacturers like Rolland Pilain, Rochet Schneider, Talbot, Voisin, Berliet, Renault or Delahaye. Later he specialized in bodies for motorcoaches of different makes. In 1938 he launched famous Isobloc brand of coaches, made on a licence of American GarWood. It was the first European coach with a self-supporting body and engine in the rear – a real revolution in the word of public transport. Thanks to his tenacity, audacity and the “spirit of initiative” Joseph Besset became an industrialist recognized in the national plan.

In 1951 Isobloc merged with Floirat to create SACA, which in 1957 was incorporated into SAVIEM (the company uniting truck and bus manufacturers Renault, Latil, Somua and Chausson). In 1978 Saviem and Berliet merged into Renault Vehicules Industriels. In 1999 the bus divisions of Fiat, Iveco and Renault merged to create Irisbus (later also bought Ikarus). Thus, in a cetain way, Irisbus ca be considered a descentant of Besset :D

Here's an Isobloc, as shown at the Paris Salon in 1938.
