#43 271, delivered 1929 as a Gangloff Coupé Landaulet to Eliska Junkova. In 1938 Mrs. Junkova gave the car to her friend, the racing driver Hugo Urban-Emmerich, who brought it to his good friend Uhlik to rebody it to a roadster.

Can I be alone in thinking that 54201 and 43271 look as though they use carved-up pieces of a discarded SS100 body? There may be some mileage in this as an SS100 was certainly bodied somewhere in Eastern Europe, unfortunately I cannot remember by whom at the moment. Anyone have any ideas?

Clive.

Later: I have found the SS100 of which I was thinking, it is chassis 39070 exported to Rumania. The chassis was apparently re-bodied by a company called Leonida in Bucharest. This car has a had a particularly chequered (no pun intended) history, best left to Jaguar specialists to expand, but whether its original body could have found its way to Prague I can only speculate. Probably total red herring, but we all like a bit of a conundrum don't we? =) .

Clive.
