This is a Spanish production type 49, which is a fiscal 22.8 hp chassis. This car is circa 1925, and is a four door Weyman-patent Saloon, but I do not know by whom...

According to Paul Badré's book Hispano Suiza, this car is not a spanish Tipo 49, but one of the very few ( 5 or 6 ) french-made I6 ; it is technically very similar to the spanish 49, but with a light alloy - engine.

I have taken my information from Johnnie Green's book on Hispano Suiza, but anyway we agree it is not a H6

I now have established that the owner next to the car is René Lacoste, the French tennis ace, which would plead for frank's version!

NB: On the first post, the man beside the Hispano-Suiza is René Lacoste, the tennis champion

Weymann bodied Hispano Suiza H6C Speedster, which was involved in a wager, though I forgot between who and which, but it ended up as a 24 hour race on April 18th, 1928 at Indianapolis between this car (owned by Mr.Weymann) and an 'unbreakable' factory prepared Stutz, which was won by the Hispano Suiza, as the Stutz fell to pieces.
