The beach car in Prunet's book is not a 365 GTB/4, but a 365 GTC/4

Michelotti's "Beach Car" was constructed by Swiss based coachbuilding company Felber for an unknown client from the Persian region.

In 1976 Michelotti removed the body and replaced it with a shooting brake body, built by Felber. In this configuration the car was shown at the 1977 Geneva Auto Salon.

Although Michelotti designs, both the Beach Car and the Break should be placed in a Felber section.

I kept that Ferrari 400 Break out of this thread, because it needs to be placed in a Felber section. We will create this later.
It was not a Michelotti design.

Somewhere in the web it's claimed that the Felber beach car was owned by Steve McQueen. Any confirmation?

Hi, (Forums-)mate,

the Ferrari-Felber Michelotti-365GTC Beach-Car/1981 was an order of the Shaik of Katar (Emir Chalifa ibn Hamad). He paid for the in original gold-bronze-coloured unikat 150,0 TSFr > 154,0 TDM > 203,0 T€.
Later the car was coming back to Switzerland for restoration. Finally it get the still up-to-date white paint ...
---
... I have a few books with titles like 'Cars of the Stars' ..., ... all have St. McQ-cars, but no text/photo for a Felber-made ..., ... also no replica was noticed for him ...,

... with greetings, FrankWo.

Yet Michiel wrote earlier that the beach car body was in 1976 replaced with the shooting brake one. So which one of you is right?

I can confirm that the #14897 365 GTB/4, commissioned by Chinetti, was a McQueen's car.
