3CM153 was supplied new at the chassis price of £1522 11s. In May 1946 the car was valued by Barclays to the sum of £3044 12s 6d. By Jan 1950 the odometer read 25453 miles and 38083 14 months later. Having had several changes of ownership it appears to have entered the funeral trade in 1958 in Birmingham and then or later was provided with a hearse body, retaining its original front wings and running boards.

It came into the hands of an eccentric collector but by 2015 appears to have spent several decades in steady decline, accelerated by the collapse of the garage in which it had been contained followed by the interest of thieves and vandals. By January 2019 it was also missing the Radiator, bonnet and other bits in the above photo. It has now been recovered but remains in a perilous state....
