Footnotes

A desirable European-specification 308 GTSi Quatrovalvole, the car we offer was sold new to Switzerland via the Autodino AG dealership in Zürich to Mr Hans Imholz, and first registered in April 1983. As ever, everyone wanted a red Ferrari at this time, but Autodino ordered this one in white ('Bianco Ferrari'). Not surprisingly, the car remained unsold until it had been repainted in red!

In 1998 (at 17,109 kilometres from new) the Ferrari was sold from the Zürich canton to Mr Heinz Otto Schubert in Saarbrucken, Germany (copy of sales invoice on file). The story of how Mr Schubert was able to buy this car in 1998, and how happy he was to find an example in 'as new' condition' when it was already 15 years old, may be found in the accompanying history file.

Some 15 years later, in 2013, the car was sold to Mr Joachim Schwarz and was kept registered in Saarbrucken. The current owner purchased the Ferrari in France in 2015, at which time the odometer reading stood at 30,000 kilometres. The car was still in red colour, but the buyer knew that this was one of the rare examples originally finished in 'Bianco Ferrari', which is the reason why he bought it. The new owner then had the car completely re-sprayed (despite the paint being in excellent condition) in the original colour to the highest standard, just like it came out of the Ferrari factory.

Said to have never seen any rain, the car is presented today in excellent condition with only some 39,000 kilometres on the clock, its beautiful cream leather interior showing hardly any signs of wear. An unmolested little-used example in a rare colour combination, it is hard to fault.

The car comes with the following:

Original Swiss registration papers

Current Belgian registration papers

Copy of the old German Fahrzeugbrief

Bills of sale of previous owners

Swiss Ferrari Abgas Document recording odometer readings 1987-1998

Multiple TüV documents recording odometer readings 1998-2014

Sundry invoices for parts and work carried out

Original period photographs

Original Ferrari pouch with all books

Original tool kit

TESTIMONIALS

I am not a natural flatterer, I like to think that I "tell it like it is", politely I hope. So when I tell you that I am very impressed by the contents of your website, it is just not English politeness. I of course love the subject matter but you deal with it in an energetic and respectful manner. I am overwhelmed by the research that has gone into compiling the list of coachbuilders/bodybuilders for Europe and North America. I have never heard of the vast majority of them. Congratulations on an excellent website.
