Pourtout Talbot-Lago T150C SS Coupe 1944
Pourtout Talbot-Lago T150C SS Coupe 1944
9.8/10 rating (4 votes)

Description

Pourtout bodied several chassis with the typical design penned by Georges Paulin, who also excelled in aerodynamic shapes.
With only a very limited examples constructed, it is safe to say that all road going T150Cs were unique and until this day are still held in high regard the world over.

The unrestored car in the pictures is one of three T150C SS fitted with a teardrop coupe designed by Georges Paulin and Marcel Pourtout.
It was still in Pourtout's workshop when War raged over Europe and it was not completed until 1944.
With peace returned, the streamlined car was raced with great success in French races by Pierre Boncompagni, or "Pagnibon".
He scored victories in among others the Mt. Ventoux Hillclimb and races at Monthlery.
The car was long believed to be lost, but it was recently discovered in completely original condition.

TESTIMONIALS

I am not a natural flatterer, I like to think that I "tell it like it is", politely I hope. So when I tell you that I am very impressed by the contents of your website, it is just not English politeness. I of course love the subject matter but you deal with it in an energetic and respectful manner. I am overwhelmed by the research that has gone into compiling the list of coachbuilders/bodybuilders for Europe and North America. I have never heard of the vast majority of them. Congratulations on an excellent website.
