Originally from Orleans, Paul Nee created his company in 1912 in Levallois, Paris. His atelier of about 1250 m2 included 50 craftsmen of several disciplines (carpenters, welders, panel specialists, painters). He collaborated with Lancia for building convertibles, which assured him a regular activity. He made very few creations of his own.
His son took the succession in 1950 to maintain the manufacturing operation of seats and sunroofs, which he also imported from Holland and Germany.
In the sixties, there were always one or two bodies being restored in the workshop. The company closed its doors in 1987.

I am not a natural flatterer, I like to think that I "tell it like it is", politely I hope. So when I tell you that I am very impressed by the contents of your website, it is just not English politeness. I of course love the subject matter but you deal with it in an energetic and respectful manner. I am overwhelmed by the research that has gone into compiling the list of coachbuilders/bodybuilders for Europe and North America. I have never heard of the vast majority of them.
Congratulations on an excellent website.
